Watch Steve Nash go through a fast break drill practiced by the Phoenix Suns:

1. The drill starts off with a 5 man basket weave down on end of the court,
followed by a 3 on 2 run back with the passer & shooter becoming the defenders.
  
2. Five players run down one end passing and weaving without dribbling to the hoop for a    layup.
  
3. After the layup is made, the passer and shooter run back up the court to defend a 3 on 2 fastbreak with the top man jabbing at the ball.
 
Remember: to have the passer and shooter become the defenders in this drill, footwork, timing, and teamwork are very important in this drill.

Sport Specific Exercise of the Week

Burpees
1. From a standing position, jump as high as possible and land down on your feet with your hands on the ground.
2. Kick your feet back. For a moment you will be in a push up position and jump back up again as fast as possible.
3. Repeat for 3 sets of 40 seconds

Trainer's comments:
For an insane workout
add a clapping push-up at the bottom position. Remember: 20 seconds rest between stations.You can take 1 minute between circuit "passes".
