I'm 43 and play a lot of basketball. I've sprained my ankle many times as I got older. I was previously using the Active Ankle Volt brace. It did the job but it was very uncomfortable, and it was big and bulky.
The McDavid 189T that I just bought is 100 times better. Not only is it comfortable but it provides the protection that I need. Another huge plus is it's less bulky. People hardly notice it...they think I just have black socks on. With the Active Ankle Volt brace other players thought I had ankle weights on.
The designers of the McDavid 189T seem to have designed a superb ankle brace with the thought of comfort as well as pretection in mind. I'm glad I bought these braces. I enjoy playing basketball again!
