The
Pitching Pad
As a child just learning
how to throw, you have the entire area inside the gray outline in which
to try and hit. As the person develops, they can then concentrate on
targeting the different colored areas. Finally, as an advanced player,
they can target specific numbers in which to throw.
The different stages of learning are all accounted for, and the player
can develop at their own pace while challenging themselves along the
way.
The numbers on The
Pitching Pad are used as an advanced training tool.
In baseball, the movement
of an off-speed pitch is oftentimes described by using numbers on a
clock for reference. For example, a good curve ball can be described as
moving 12 to 6. This is because the ball would start high in what would
be in the 12 o’clock position and then move straight down to what would
be the 6 o’clock position. The same is true for all the pitches that a
person can throw, right or left handed.
By using the markings on The Pitching Pad as reference points, a person
can develop their skills better and more rapidly. A player can learn
how far their pitches will move and where to start them, so they will
end up where they want. The player knows exactly where the ball ends up
each time, so they can more effectively make adjustments.

We know that accuracy and
control are not just necessary for pitchers, but for everyone that
walks onto the field -- catchers, outfielders, infielders,
quarterbacks, etc. The Pitching Pad is the right tool for either
the professional or the beginner, and it is the right system to take a
player’s game to the next level. The versatility and longevity of
The Pitching Pad makes it one of the BEST tools for a player’s
development.
FAQ
Can The Pitching Pad be used for baseball
and softball?
Yes. The Pad can be used for both sports. The strike zones for both are
the same. It can even be used for football by hanging it higher on a
fence. This makes The Pad a great tool for players who participate in
multiple sports or for families who have more than one child who play
in different sports.
What ages can The Pitching Pad be used for?
The Pad can be used for all ages, from beginner through professional
player. The beauty of the system is that it can be adapted to fit the
players development level. This also allows a player to progress at
their own pace.

How hard is it to set
up and use The Pad?
The Pad is very easy to
set up and use. There are three straps at the
top and two at the bottom that can be used to attach it to just about
any fence. It also weighs less than ten pounds, so it is very easy to
carry. From the backyard to the baseball field, once it is attached,
all you have to do is just step back and begin throwing.
Is The Pad just for pitchers or can it be
used for other positions as well?
The Pad can and should be used for players of all positions who throw a
ball. All players can benefit from being more accurate with their
throwing. (hitting a cut-off man, throwing over to first, etc.)

Why
is The Pitching Pad better that the nets or screens that are tied to a
frame?
The graphic on the face of
The Pad is more versatile for players of all development levels. The
Pad can be attached to just
about any fence and takes up minimal space while being used. It is
designed to prevent the
transfer of energy from the ball to whatever it is attached. This will
help prevent the player from damaging
any structure behind The Pad.
Testimonials
“The
Pitching Pad has helped us be more consistent with locating pitches.
The more we have used it the better we have gotten. The Pad also saves
us time by freeing up our catchers so they can take live bullpens and
work on their fundamentals. The pitchers throwing on the side or doing
flat work can use The Pad to help them train at a high level while my
catchers are taking live bullpens.”

"The pitching pad is a
great training tool for baseball players of any age or ability level.
It is easy to set up and easy to use and doesn't require a catcher for
feedback; you get it instantly yourself. It not only will improve your
accuracy, it will help you polish your tools and be able to transfer
those to actual game situations. I would recommend this product for
anyone who wants to improve their pitching staff, lower the amount of
walks and ERA, and become a more accurate pitcher."
